Antidepressant Effect of Vitamin D: A Literature Review

It is generally considered to be a complex cause. An increasing number of studies have shown that vitamin D deficiency plays an important role in the occurrence and development of depression. In this review, the role and possible mechanisms of vitamin D as a potential antidepressant are discussed.
